Kicking off the Fourth of July weekend with a refreshing rosé of Grenache made by @cliffamily wines. Freshness is the key descriptor here, with aromas and flavors of tart red berry, peach, and citrus. Grapes are harvested early in the morning, to preserve acidity and primary fruit character. Half the grapes are pressed in whole clusters, the other half are destemmed. After fermentation, the wine ages for four months in stainless steel.
Another gem from our trip to Mystic, CT. This made me laugh out loud. Hope it brings a smile to you, too!
More fun from Mystic! After a walk by the river we stopped at @mysticparkicecream and got some tasty treats. Wild Maine Blueberry ice cream hit the spot (but there were many tempting options, as you can see!) Can’t wait to visit again . . .
Friday night Gabe and I moseyed around the charming town of Mystic, CT. Of course we stopped for an early dinner at @mystic_pizza_official where the classic movie was filmed! Our table was crowded with Greek salad and homemade dressing; fried meatballs and sauce (a big thumbs-up from Gabe!); and a small pizza with salami, olives, and pepperoncini. All I can say is we left very full and happy! Service was super-friendly and, if you go on the early side, crowds aren’t a problem. A fun part of wedding weekend, for sure!
