I love wine!  Not just for its obvious charms, but for the stories behind it that give it life.  There’s so much that goes into each bottle, from the nuances of terroir to the family history of the winemakers – it’s a rather spectacular collaboration between nature and humans, don’t you think?

The wine bug bit me many years ago, and it was then that I decided to study the subject with more serious intent.  So, study I did, and in November 2013, I passed the Certified Specialist of Wine examination offered by the Society of Wine Educators. Since then I have passed the Italian Wine Professional exam as well as the Level 3/Advanced certification offered by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET). Right now I’m working toward the WSET Diploma – wish me luck!
