At the end of a surreal day, there was this: a phantasmagoric Empire State Building. Or was I just imagining it? Hmmmmm . . . #NYC #empirestatebuilding #spooky
So, how did your day start? I felt like I’d stepped into the Twilight Zone! #messagefrombeyond #weirdwednesday #NYC #LookUp #moviemadness
My mom made this stained glass lamp out of a broken windshield, many years ago. After her memorial service last month, my sister and I celebrated her with sparkling wine from @breathlesswines and, of course, by lighting a candle in her lamp. You can read more in my latest post on www.theswirlingdervish.com #traditionalmethod #sonomacounty #winestudio #sparklingwine #blancdenoirs #brut #celebrateeveything #stainedglass #creative
To all my Wine friends out there: have a lovely day and do something nice for Mother Earth!
The French #Winophiles visited southern France and the wines of #PicpouldePinet today. Great with seafood, especially this swordfish with salmoriglio sauce! Full details, including links to all the posts on www.theswirlingdervish.com #Languedoc #France #Winophiles #foodandwine
Another on-my-way-to-class discovery from last night: the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, on West 31st Street in NYC. Located a half a block from MSG, this place was an oasis of quiet in the chaos. I was struck by the beautiful mosaic on the facade which, apparently has a gorgeous counterpart behind the altar inside. The Big Apple never fails to surprise! #NYC #artinthecity #mosaic
